Technology: Mauritius should make use of new modes of communication

In China, 9 out of 10 people use smartphones and they get the free device from the operator in China. This communication tool is very popular with Chinese television stations that use it to access their audience.

Professor Shie Fang, Dean of Hunan University, pointed out that a country like Mauritius must take into account the development of New Media, new modes of communication and smartphones among others. Mauritius must be prepared for this change and not be left behind. The country, he says, and national television will be much more efficient and profitable.
