Decreed in the United States more than 10 years ago, the World Recycling Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of recycling. This is also the time to talk about the importance of waste sorting, which plays a vital role in the recycling process.

 

November 14: World Diabetes Day

Diabetes, a chronic condition caused by a lack or lack of use of a hormone called insulin, can not be cured. Between 1980 and 2014, the number of people suffering from diabetes almost quadrupled in the world, from 108 million to 422 million. A situation deemed alarming, according to Dr. Veenoo Basant Rai, president of the Mauritius Diabetes Association, which also emphasizes that one can live with diabetes by exercising control through a healthy diet and a balanced lifestyle.

Le recrutement des Mauriciens à bord des croisières se poursuit. Plusieurs prestigieuses compagnies de croisière sont à la recherche de la main d’œuvre mauricienne pour divers postes pour 2019. Au total, il faut compter 5000 postes à pourvoir pour l’an prochain ; dans l’immédiat, 600 postes à pourvoir en urgence. Ces bateaux de croisière de renom recherchent entre autres des sommeliers, des chefs, des sous-chefs, des hôtesses.
