Air Mauritius: Soobhiraj Bungsraz appointed as Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Directors of Air Mauritius met today and took note of the resignation of Manoj R K Ujoodha, G.O.S.K., as Chief Executive Officer of the Company. The Board has appointed Soobhiraj Bungsraz as Chief Executive Officer with effect from the 1st of October 2010.  Soobhiraj Bungsraz is an executive with a long career as a professional in the field of aviation in the Australian government where he held several management positions. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Punjab) and the following qualifications from the University of Newcastle, Australia : a Graduate Diploma in Management, a Master in Business Administration and a Master in Information Technology.  Soobhiraj Bungsraz is also a Chartered Professional Engineer and is a member of several professional bodies including the Royal Aeronautical Society, the Australian Institute of Management and, Engineers Australia.  Kamal Taposeea, Chairman of the Board, stated “On behalf of the Board, I wish a very warm welcome to Soobhiraj as he joins the airline as the new CEO with his vast experience in the aviation field and wish him the best of luck.”
