The International Anti-corruption Day, observed on 9 December 2018, is meant to raise awareness on the harmful effects of corruption and of the role of the United Nations’ United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) in combatting and preventing corruption, the Director General of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), Mr Navin Beekarry, said in a message issued Monday, in the Mauritian capital.
This year the chosen theme for the celebration of the International Anti-Corruption Day in Mauritius is, «Mauritius without Corruption Depends on Me.»
