L’heure du sapin de Noël approche et parents, grands-parents, oncles et tantes commencent à angoisser à l’idée de tomber à côté des désirs des enfants: quelques conseils de spécialistes pour trouver le cadeau qui plaise.

Ainsi, selon le dernier baromètre du cabinet spécialisé NPD, dans le Top 10 des nouveaux produits introduits sur le marché en 2018, on trouve les “jouets-phares” figurant en tête de liste des lettres au Père Noël.

Parmi eux, le camion de pompier “Pat’Patrouille”, la maison moderne de Playmobil ou la nouvelle arène de combat à deux niveaux des toupies “Beyblade”.

La grande salle du château de Poudlard chez Lego marque le retour couronné de succès du phénomène “Harry Potter” pour l’anniversaire des 20 ans de la saga.

Enfin, le “Monopoly édition Tricheurs” souligne encore une fois la popularité des jeux de société dans l’hexagone, la France étant le premier marché en Europe.

Autre “carton” prévisible: la déclinaison du populaire jeu télévisé “Burger Quiz” de chez TF1-Dujardin, mais attention à la rupture de stock, prévient Frédérique Tutt, experte du jouet.

Parmi les nouveautés les plus surprenantes, on peut également noter “Gravitrax” de Ravensburger, un circuit à billes défiant les lois de la gravité.

Autres tendances: les licornes, les jeux à collectionner type “LOL Surprise” (qui sont numéro 1 dans le monde), les jouets “vintage” pour les “kidadultes” (“Action Man”, “Power Rangers”, “Polly Pocket”, “Tamagotchi”, “Simon”)…

Plus globalement, “2018 n’est pas une année à licence, plus une année à marque”, analyse Mme Tutt, qui prévient que 2019 sera en revanche une déferlante “Reine des Neiges”, en raison de la sortie de la suite du film des studios Disney.

Le cadeau choisi, il restera néanmoins un problème, ajoute l’experte à l’AFP: son approvisionnement en magasin, perturbé par le mouvement des “gilets jaunes”.

“Le Père Noël a de quoi se faire du souci”, conclut-elle.

 

 

The Bank of Mauritius has, pursuant to Section 35 of the Bank of Mauritius Act 2004, started issuing today, a polymer banknote of Rs2000 denomination, which is an upgrade of the existing Rs2000 paper banknote.  The polymer Rs2000 denomination banknote has almost the same design as the paper banknote with, however, enhanced security features using new security technology.

The Bank is also beginning at the same time to withdraw from circulation the current Rs2000 paper banknote.  The current Rs2000 paper banknote will cease to be legal tender as from 1st of February 2019.

The public is therefore advised to exchange existing paper banknotes of Rs2000 denomination issued by the Bank of Mauritius against the Rs2000 polymer banknotes at any commercial bank or branch thereof until 31st of January 2019.  Rs2000 paper banknotes which are still in circulation on or after 1st of February 2019 may be exchanged only at the counter of the Bank of Mauritius.

Holders of Rs2000 paper banknote(s) will be required to produce a proof of identity when effecting an exchange of the paper banknote.  They may alternatively opt to deposit such banknote(s) into their bank account.  The exchange will, however, be subject to the statutory limit, currently set at Rs500,000, regarding payment in cash.  Split transactions will also be closely monitored by banks.  Additionally, banks may, irrespective of the amount and if the circumstances so warrant, request proof of the source of fund from the customer.

The public is further informed that banks will proceed to a verification of the banknotes being exchanged or deposited in bank accounts.  Any counterfeit banknote will forthwith be reported to the Police.

The Central Bank is working closely with banks and cash handlers to ensure a smooth transition to the Rs2000 polymer banknotes.xxxx
