2nd round of negotiations concluded in New Delhi

Mauritius and India have concluded the second round of negotiations on the FTA to further encourage trade and investment. The three-day talks on the Economic Cooperation and Partnership Agreement (ECCAP) kicked off Tuesday in New Delhi. Participants discussed trade in goods, services and economic cooperation.
According to the Indian press, India could benefit a lot in the service sectors, computing and tourism of Mauritius.
Mauritius is among the leading sources of foreign direct investment (FDI) in India. In 2016-17, India received $ 15.72 billion from Mauritius. Bilateral trade between countries amounted to about $ 900 million in 2016-17.
