2nd round of negotiations concluded in New Delhi

Mauritius and India have concluded the second round of negotiations on the FTA to further encourage trade and investment. The three-day talks on the Economic Cooperation and Partnership Agreement (ECCAP) kicked off Tuesday in New Delhi. Participants discussed trade in goods, services and economic cooperation.

According to the Indian press, India could benefit a lot in the service sectors, computing and tourism of Mauritius.

Mauritius is among the leading sources of foreign direct investment (FDI) in India. In 2016-17, India received $ 15.72 billion from Mauritius. Bilateral trade between countries amounted to about $ 900 million in 2016-17.

 

MMM: suspension indéterminée pour Jeeha

Le BP du MMM réuni en urgence jeudi a décidé de suspendre Pradeep Jeeha de cette instance pour une durée indétrminée. C’est le Comité central du parti, réuni samedi qui devait prendre la décision finale. Il a été aussi question de la suspension de six membres du régional du No4. Pour Paul Bérenger, ils ont tenu des propos insultants lors d’une conférence de presse mercredi.
