Juan José Garcia, president of CAF, the company mandated to build the vehicles of the Metro-Express has presented a model of the train that will be used in Mauritius.
According Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth, the first trains are expected in Mauritius in early June 2019. They will be tested and will be operational on the route Rose-Hill / Port-Louis in September 2019.
Mr Jugnauth also stressed that the project has well advanced thanks in particular to the financial assistance of the Indian Government and to add that he wishes that he be remembered as an avant-garde Prime Minister.
