A committee of medical specialists from the Ministry of Health recommends that the High Level Committee on COVID-19 continue treatment with hydroxychloroquine as it is approved by the WHO.
Pending the final conclusion of the World Health Organization, Mauritian hospitals will continue to administer hydroxychloroquine to patients but with their consent. The hydroxychloroquine is recognized as generally safe for patients with autoimmune diseases or malaria.
