Coca Cola and Pepsi accepts to reduce sugar contents…
The two biggest bottlers of light drinks have accepted to reduce the sugary content of their drinks in Singapore in line with the fight against diabetes.
This could be well the case of Mauritius to ask the two multinationals to act accordingly as the rate of diabetes is alarmingly high in the country.
This will be not only benefiting the consumers but will also contribute to build a sounder health population in the island.

The downtrend of the $ as it stands now could be beneficial to our Mauritian imports – (almost 70% of our imports are transacted with US$) and the prices of consumers goods will likely follow suit.
