Les 21 centres communautaires des régions de la zone 4, allant de Moka à Grande Rivière Sud Est se mobilisent pour combattre la pauvreté. C’est dans ce contexte, qu’un atelier de travail a été organisé par la Sugar Industry Labour Wlefare Fund Community Developement Division de la Zone 4.
Ceci, afin de mieux sensibiliser les responsables des centres communautaires en ce qu’il s’agit des facilités qui sont offertes par les différents ministères.
Some 12 members of cooperative societies, who will attend a course on organic farming at the National Centre of Organic Farming (NCOF) in Ghaziabad, India, were handed over training materials and cheques under the Cooperative Development Fund Education Scheme.
The participants will have the opportunity to acquire the technical know-how and expertise during their 30-days stay at NCOF following which they will be provided with a certificate in organic farming. On their return, trained participants will have the opportunity to share their knowledge with other planters and they will also be encouraged to certify for the Mauritius General Agricultural Practices as well as aspire for an international accreditation which will support their development. They will leave at the end of this month.
Environ 7 000 postes sont à pourvoir au sein de la Fonction publique. Ils ont été et seront libérés après des départs à la retraite. Des cours sont ainsi dispersés aux nouveaux venus pour qu’ils soient à la hauteur des attentes.
Le transport illégal demeure le souci principal des opérateurs d’autobus. Une étude de la Rose- Hill Transport Ltd (RHT) à Trèfles et Stanley a démontré que 4 500 personnes utilisent des transports illégaux quotidiennement. Celle de la CNT a indiqué que l’organisme subit un manque à gagner d’environ de Rs 6 millions mensuellement à cause du transport illégal.
