75,000 digital titles already available at the new UoM e-library

E-books, scientific journals, master’s theses and doctorates … The library of the University of Mauritius is going digital. At least 75,000 books can be viewed online, and not only by students at the Réduit campus. The resources will be accessible to those of other institutions, following the signing of agreements, but also to the general public against payment, announced Dhanjay Jhurry.

The vice-chancellor of the University of Mauritius sees the UoM library to position itself as a national library. Democratizing access to knowledge, he says, will stimulate innovation and the emergence of new ideas.
