75,000 digital titles already available at the new UoM e-library

E-books, scientific journals, master’s theses and doctorates … The library of the University of Mauritius is going digital. At least 75,000 books can be viewed online, and not only by students at the RĂ©duit campus. The resources will be accessible to those of other institutions, following the signing of agreements, but also to the general public against payment, announced Dhanjay Jhurry.

The vice-chancellor of the University of Mauritius sees the UoM library to position itself as a national library. Democratizing access to knowledge, he says, will stimulate innovation and the emergence of new ideas.
